Sights

There is lots to discover!

Our city is not very big – but it has two timber-framed town halls and both are well worthwhile seeing! You will spot the New Town Hall immediately if you arrive to Einbeck by train. It was, magnificently covered in slate, once the grand head office of August Stukenbrok’s successful mail order company. Just like most of our other sights, you will find our Old Town Hall directly in our historic Old Town: With its three distinctive towers it is one of the emblems of Einbeck. Right in front of it, you will see the Till-Eulenspiegel-Fountain, the historic Market Square with timber-framed gems as well as the Brodhaus and the Town Pharmacy (Rats-Apotheke) built in the 16th century… and many more exciting places. As you can see, an extensive tour of the city is well worthwhile!

Discover our mighty churches, have a look behind the scenes of our traditional businesses, learn interesting and exciting facts in our museums or get a sense of the past during a stroll or on a tour exploring our medieval ramparts & towers. You would rather make an excursion outside Einbeck’s gates? Our saltworks and old castles are awaiting you. In order to increase your anticipation, we recommend a 360° insight and a flight over our town. You will find an overview of all our sights on the map underneath.
