Excursions & Region

Great variety among experience & nature

Up to further destinations in our region and surroundings! It’s just not possible to be bored here! Of course, that is because of our beautiful Einbeck with its numerous possibilities. In addition, there is so much more to do in the diverse closer and a little further away surroundings. Hiking, cycling or running to your heart’s content, playing mini-golf and golf, swimming, canoeing or observing large flocks of birds. Starting from Einbeck, you can easily go to three large wildlife parks with various native animals and butterflies on a day-filling excursion.

You can visit manorial châteaux, wild castle ruins and quiet monasteries, two saltworks and also walk on former Roman battlefield at the Harzhorn. In various museums in city and region you find accumulated knowledge on vintage cars, town history and technic. There is even a real shoe manufactory that is also UNESCO world heritage – Fagus-Werke in Alfeld. That’s not enough action for you? Well, visit the Sommerrodelbahn Bodenwerder (summer toboggan run) and race down the hill in a bob on tracks. That’ll make you feel some wind blast around your nose.

Here you can get a quick overview of our excursion tips in Einbeck & surroundings!
