The Standesamt Einbeck performs various tasks relating to civil status.

The registry office of the town of Einbeck is located in the historic Old Town Hall on the market square.

Mainly it is responsible for certifying civil status such as
  • marriages,
  • births and
  • deaths.
Furthermore, name changes of various kinds, church resignations, certificate orders and citizenship matters are processed.

Here you will find a list of the indoor wedding venues:Since May 2021, couples can also get married outdoors - in the open air - on the Heldenburg Salzderhelden. Weddings are held there in the former castle chapel in the ambience of the historic walls. In case of bad weather, the castle cellar is available as an alternative.
