Olxheim lies approx. 8.5 km north-east of the town of Einbeck on a loop of the River Leine.

The village of Olxheim, located in the beautiful Leinebergland, has around 89 inhabitants (as of 02.01.2024). The heavily used north-south railroad line  (railroad line between Göttingen and Hanover) runs through the town.

Culture and sights 

  • The townscape is characterized by the building of the Olxheim church, which underwent an extensive complete renovation from the outside in 2017
