Ippensen, a district of the town of Einbeck, is located approx. 7.5 km north-east of the town center.

The village of Ippensen was first mentioned  in 1338 under the name "Ippenhusen" and has been a district of the town of Einbeck since 2013. Today, around 71 people live here (as of 02.01.2024). The village has almost grown together with the neighbouring villageGarlebsen. A few hundred meters northeast of Ippensen, the Aue flows into the Leine.
