Holtershausen, a northern Einbecker village approx. 10 km away, is close to the B3 and B64.
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1148 as "Haholdeshusen".
Culture and sights:
- Above Holtershausen starts on the Lietberg, from which you have a beautiful overlook of the surrounding area, the so-called Mönchelieth.A display board there recalls the history of the village and the significance of Mönchelieth in earlier times. The square,which a. features a large wooden cross, is also the site of regular services.
- Remains of a historic stonework can be found in the village center. This is documented in the year 1385. An information board on site explains the former function of the stoneworks.
- The region around the district is ideal for beautiful hikes. The wanderweg"Auf den Spuren der Mönche" from Holtershausen towards Hube / Märchenwald offers guests a short journey through time and enchants with a beautiful view over the region.
