Stiftsgarten

Short facts

  • Einbeck

The Stiftsgarten near the New Town Hall in Einbeck offers local recreation for young and old.

The Stiftsgarten is located on the north-eastern edge of Einbeck's old town, between the New Town Hall and the market square. The entire park is bordered by green spaces and trees. Right at the Ostertor park entrance is a pond with a multi-level fountain.

For young visitors to the park, there is a beautiful and quiet playground.
For all age groups, there is the Garden of Generations, which invites young and old to stay healthy and agile with the help of free fitness equipment.
On a demarcated gravel area, visitors can play boules or boccia and get active in nature.

The Stiftsgarten has a seating area with a table for around six people. There are also other benches where visitors can rest after a stroll through the old town or a tour of the city.

The August Stukenbrok monument in the Stiftsgarten commemorates the bicycle manufacturer and Germany's first mail-order company boss August Stukenbrok. The former August Stukenbrok Villa is also part of the Stiftsgarten. The Art Nouveau villa was owned by August Stukenbrok and is now home to the Mendelssohn Music School
