The Kulturverein has been delighting its guests for decades with internationally renowned artists.
The Kulturverein Kultur im Esel e.V. has been offering an exceptional concert and cultural program in the Einbeck district of Sülbeck for over 30 years. Originally a pub with a large hall for a wide variety of occasions, the Esel is now a hall for a variety of top-class cultural events.
The aim of the association was and is to preserve and promote village life and give it new impetus, both cultural and political.
Awarded the State Minister of Culture's Venue Prize, internationally successful musicians from the fields of world music, jazz and singer-songwriters take to the stage here. Tickets for events are available from the Einbeck Tourist Information Office or by phone or email from Esel as well as via the website www.kultur-im-esel.de. Tickets can also be purchased at other advance booking offices in the region.
However, it is not only supra-regional culture that is important, but the local idea as a meeting place for village events is also still being cultivated. The socio-cultural center also offers a space for village culture: Low German afternoons and choir meetings are also part of the program.
The reappraisal of German history with trips to memorial sites, discussions with contemporary witnesses as well as exhibitions and films on the subject are further offers of the association.
