MUSEUM SCHLOSS FÜRSTENBERG

Short facts

  • Fürstenberg

The castle ensemble of the FÜRSTENBERG porcelain manufactory with its museum, factory outlet and bistro offers something interesting for every visitor.

Nowhere else can you experience the world of FÜRSTENBERG like during a visit to the castle ensemble in Fürstenberg.

The castle courtyard has barrier-free access and from the viewing platform, 80 m above the Weser, you have a fantastic panoramic view of the Weser valley and the border triangle.

The castle was a factory until 1974, since then it has been a porcelain museum with a visitor workshop and production takes place in outbuildings on the castle grounds. Modernized in 2017, the MUSEUM SCHLOSS FÜRSTENBERG takes visitors on a journey through the history of porcelain from its European beginnings to modern porcelain art - touch, marvel and try it out for yourself included.

In addition to the porcelain museum, the Manufaktur factory outlet and Bistro CARL are also located on the castle grounds. The Manufaktur factory outlet is the largest brand store for FÜRSTENBERG porcelain in the world and the Bistro CARL treats guests to seasonal dishes and coffee specialties.
