The Gandersheim Collegiate Church is the venue for the Bad Gandersheim Cathedral Festival.

The Gandersheim Collegiate Church in Bad Gandersheim is an "open church" for visitors, founded by Liudolf in 652, and is also popularly known as the "Gandersheim Cathedral". In recent centuries, the church has been known by several names and today the terms "collegiate church" and "cathedral" still compete with each other.
Church services as well as concerts take place in the church. Since 1959, the west building of the church has been used as the backdrop for the Bad Gandersheim Cathedral Festival, a large open-air theater.
