The suburb of Strodthagen is located 8 km north of Einbeck near the Sülberg mountain.

The village Strodthagen lies to the east of the 187-metre-high Sülberg, where the Sulbichi court of Suilbergau was located. Strodthagen has around 111 inhabitants (as of 02.01.2024).

The village was first mentioned by name on 1 October 1383.
