The village of Immensen is located approx.5.5 km south of the town of Einbeck in a side valley of the Leinetal.
The village is one of the oldest places in the district of Einbeck and was known in the first half of the 20th century for its Pepperworks.
Culture and sights
- On the outskirts of the village there is a golf course, which, since its conversion to an 18-hole course in 2012, had what used to be the longest par 5 in Europe.

Furthermore, in Immensen:
Farm shop, where you can buy seasonal regional agricultural produce such as potatoes, tomatoes, flowers etc.
As well as a village store "Die Alte Backstube", which is well-known and popular beyond the borders of Immensen.
At the entrance to the village, coming from Einbeck, is the Immensen kindergarten, which is attended by children from Immensen and the surrounding villages.
The circular cycle route "Salt and castles" leads past Immensen.
