Birkenhof Einbeck

Short facts

  • Einbeck

The Birkenhof specializes in therapies for animals, as well as riding lessons and coach rides.

The Birkenhof Einbeck is a center for animals and people offering both medical treatments and riding lessons for children and adults. In addition, carriage rides around the historic town center of Einbeck can be booked on request.

In the medical field, the Birkenhof offers various comprehensive therapy concepts, primarily for horses and dogs:
  • Physiotherapy
  • Osteopathy
  • Dorn-Breuß therapy
  • Craniosacral therapy
  • Phytotherapy
  • Leech therapy.

The Birkenhof is also home to a rarity. There, Shire Horses weighing up to 1200 kg and measuring up to 2.10 m tall can be marveled at as the largest horse breed in the world. In 2017, the Birkenhof's Shire Horses drew the historic Biertreck as part of the Einbecker Brauhaus AG farm festival.

The Birkenhof also has a 25 m² apartment for two people, where dogs are also very welcome.

The many other farm animals such as dogs, cats and chickens bring guests closer to country life. In addition to country life, the Birkenhof also hosts numerous events, concerts, lectures and workshops.

The Birkenhof now also offers alpaca walks, a walk with Viktor, David, Dios, Amor and Apollon are possible by arrangement between spring and autumn.

At least 2 people and 2 alpacas should take part in the walks, as herd animals never travel alone.

First, the alpacas are given a harness and as an alpaca companion you are given a rope in your hand. The rope is only used for directional guidance and to stand still if necessary, as no alpaca would run away from the herd. For more information about the hikes, visit: https://birkenhof-einbeck.de/alpaka-wanderungen/
