The Civic Association plans and organizes these events. Since its foundation in 1979, the association and its members have served to maintain and preserve the village community.

Facilities:
  • Friedenswerkstatt (located in nature, disabled-friendly house for self-organized groups)
  • Freiwillige Feuerwehr (since 1860, one of the oldest fire departments in the district of Northeim)
Due to a joint local council, the neighboring village of Rimmerode belongs to Bentierode.
