The district of Bartshausen is located approx. 5 km northwest of the town Einbeck.
The village was first mentioned in documents in 1400 as "Barteldeshusen".
For the first time in 1439, a former watchtower on the land defense of the town of Einbeck(the Bartshäuser Tower)
Culture and sights
- The chapel of the village (made of limestone with a fortified appearance) was first mentioned in 1439 and underwent three reconstruction phases in 1860, 1904 and 1956.
However, it is said to have been built in the 12th or 13th century
